Fire OS 8 Cache Issue

Users of the new Firestick 4K Max (2nd Gen) have reported apps closing randomly. This is due to aggressive background process killing in Fire OS 8.

The Fix

  1. Go to Settings > Applications > Manage Installed Applications.
  2. Find your IPTV App (Smarters/TiviMate).
  3. Select Clear Cache (NOT Clear Data).
  4. Go back to Settings > My Fire TV > Developer Options.
  5. Enable Background Process Limit and set it to "Standard Limit".
