Verizon Fios & IPv6
Verizon Fios has recently rolled out IPv6. However, many IPTV providers utilize legacy IPv4 servers. When your router tries to force an IPv6 connection to an IPv4 server, the handshake fails, resulting in a black screen with audio, or no connection at all.
Disabling IPv6 on Fios Router (G3100/CR1000A)
- Log in to your router gateway (myfiosgateway.com).
- Go to Advanced > Network Settings > IPv6.
- Set "IPv6 Enable" to Disabled.
- Click Apply and Reboot.
